To anyone and everyone....I'm starting to move to Adelaide as of the Australia Day weekend, taking trailer loads there, so will be returning with an empty trailer. Anyone want anything brought back? Would accept a small donation towards fuel depending on size of load.
Will have my 7'x4' trailer with cage this trip, then in March will be hiring a furniture trailer 12'x6'x7', probably 2 loads....
Can contact me direct at jld@spin.net.au
Are there any sites on the net where I can post this type of ad?
Cheers

I Know I know....lol..lol

I used to live in Adelaide and kept all of my empty containers for a young deaf boy who would come around twice per week. He was about 12 years old and made quite a bit of money each week.

I think the comment is more akin to Becker. lol

G'day Eskimo,
Thanks for the welcome...to Adeliade!
We've crunched all the $$ and options, and although it is a lot of driving it works out cheaper, and we are not able to move all in one go. ($1100 for 2 weeks furniture trailer hire, and about $350-$400 return trip in fuel (x3 trips including the trip next weekend) works out at around $2300. A backload from Sydney to Adelaide started at $3500, and that was from Joe Blows crazy removals.
We have a few antique's that we don't really trust anyone to touch, we've all seen the horror removalist stories on the tele, and to afford a first class removalist is out of the question.
We are trying to sell the house, I have to quit my job, and timing is everything. As you could imagine 17 years worth of accumulation in the shed needs to be sorted out, and I've run out of room! Very hard to be ruthless, as "it could come in handy one day"!!
Cheers

LOL...funny thing is, when I bought this house, it was because I loved the double garage....the house was a bonus! When we buy our next shed...I mean house...I guarantee it will be shed heaven for me...I'm thinking 4 car, plus workshop, plus mezzanine where I can watch the motor racing in peace!! I will just have to try to keep this one tidy lol!

I've had a transfer application in since November 2002, but a vacancy still hasn't come up and I (and the wife) just can't stay in this bleep ty city any longer. We have 2 young kids, a shed ( oops...house) that is too small and for the last 4 years I've been working 6 days a week 13 hours a day to get to where we are now. The hard work is done, and we want to buy a small property where the kids can have some room. So stuff it...we're outta here! Twas a good job, but you'd be a mug not to find work, if you can't then you're not trying hard enough!
Cheers

BTW...sure you don't need anything delivered to Sydney??lol
