Which sections of the Gunbarrel or did you mean the Great Central Road? They seem to get the 2 mixed up on here quite often.
And in answer to your next question, no I wouldn't take an Xtrail up the Canning ;-)

criag......... What ever happened to your spirit of adveture, x trail up the canning, no different to a te cortina station wagon up the gibb in the seventies, only more ground clearance, on the x trail. LoL

Thanks for your advice. I had a mate who took a VW down the Tanami Track in the 70,s and I saw a guy tow a Trailer into Palm Valley!!! ( Don,t know how he did it).
