This is the junction of the 4WD only Walkers Crossing Track and the Birdsville Track - a public access route (PAR) through pastoral leasehold land to and from Innamincka.

Hi all
well after i attend the Birdsville Races,I require some help on road conditions Birdsville outside track to walkers crossing track to Innamincka, I am towing a off road van which runs on Cooper S/T 33 x 12.5 wide,same as my 80ser.Landcruiser.

Sorry mate, Walkers Crossing track is closed and not likely to be opened in the near future. (More info here)

An alternative is via Cordillo Downs track which should be OK for an off-road van.

I had heard it might be closed ,thanks for your information,looks like I head North(,or try Cordillo Downs track. I will check this out)
I spent a total of 2 hours in Innamincka 2010 the year the Birdsville Races where wash out & had to make a run for it as I would of been held up inInnamincka as the roads where closed that afternoon ,i was going over to the races that year but it did not happen.
Hope I make it this year
