Hi all
Heading off round oz soon

Can any one help with a fuel costings site or some other means like a spread sheet ??

I want to calculate how much my fuel costings would be for example point A to point B

So at least I know in advance what I should allow for when I'm travelling to each point of destination

I do understand this would be an estimate

Thanks

These might assist
The first is an itinenary planner which will give you the mileage

Itinenary planner

and the second is a fuel calculator you can bodgy up before trip and use to track usage on trip

Fuel calculator

Half your luck.

Fuel costings would be such a variable, it'll take the edge off the trip before you even leave.

Fuel here in Winton is $152.9 for ULP, and $151.9 for diesel. Do know it's cheaper in the Isa, but dearer in the 'Curry.

Why not work on a range of $1.50 - $2.00/L, and except in very remote areas, you wouldn't be too far wrong. And drive slower too, and you'll save even more.

Enjoy the trip. You haven't got a spare seat have you?

Hi Bob,

Never thught I would see a road train truckie suggesting that a caravaner drive slower?

They are only put on this earth to annoy trucks.

RA,

Thanks, once you start worrying about the price of fuel on a trip, might as well stay home. It's going to cost, no matter what. I'd be more worried about a major breakdown, or keeping the tyres round and black.

You still travellin', or back at it, and the troopy's having a rest?

Graham,

Ha ha! Obviously wasn't thinking of that when I wrote the above, eh.

Only done one trip since Easter, and "they" left me alone. Either went past, flat out and 'van swinging in the wind, or stayed well behind. Had a good day.

cya,
Bob.
