Barry,

Yes there are bigger ones available (Remco have a 12 volt 260Ah AGM deep cycle) but the bigger the battery the heavier it is also. This particular mother weighs 74kg.

I have a 100Ah AGM deep cycle battery which weighs 33kg and that is enough to render it "non portable". It lives in the rear tub of my dual cab.

A 100Ah deep cycle battery is big enough for most uses, providing you have a method of recharging it, or maintaining a charge via solar panels or the like.

I got a 110AH AGM Deep Cycle from Battery World in Frankson Vic.
And could have ordered larger if wanted.

I see that your in Vic.
Try AntEnergy in Rooks Rd for an AGM battery of your choice and size.
I've used them before and found their solar and power costs are a bit better than some.
As Usual the disclaimer about AntEnergy.
