Hi All
Christmas is fast approaching and we are
camping in Port
Lincoln National Park for a week but are looking to move to the
Elliston area for a week. There is a
camping area called
Walkers Crossing camping area near Eliston that could be OK. Love some feedback on the
camp ground from anyone who has stayed there. We a self sufficient Volkswagen Amarok & Jayco Eagle.
Thanks
Alex

Hi Alex,
Looking up Camps 6, the
camping area near
Elliston is called Walkers Rocks Campground.
14 km North of
Elliston. Turn W off B100, 10 km north of
Elliston. 5 km of dirt road.
Looks to have a good range of facilities but haven't been there personally.
There is a contact number (08) 8687 9200 where you get up to date information.

Greetings Norbar
Lived in
Elliston from 89-92 - Walkers Rocks is a great spot - beautiful beach, good fishing, not far from the town. Have a great time - cheers.

havnt camped at sheringa for years, used to be just a rough area,
camp where you want. I think the southern
camp spot had a bit more
sweep off the rocks and trevally and salmon from the reefy beach.
I first visited that area when there used to be nothing there just a rough track heading out, no service station

Hi Allex
Stayed at Walkers Rocks for a few nights in '08. From memory it had flush
toilets and cold showers. Still a very nice place to
camp for a while.

Stayed there for 2 nights a month ago. Can get quite breezy but most campsites pretty
well protected. Try not to
camp in the '
carpark' area - dusty and lots of drive throughs. Really enjoyed our time there and is on the go back to list.
Water for
toilet & cold shower is supplied via solar powered pump so can't flush at night/ early morning & consequently gets backed up a bit. Fees are $8/night - honour system with windscreen sticker - run by local council which collects rubbish & cleans
toilet.
