Gday
I went up to C22 a couple of weeks back and there is a small tree with gaffer tape about 100 m from the end of the track, but i didn't see a track. What i did see was a track about 100m from the intersection where a motor bike came out of the bush. We could hear him coming across the valley.

Dearest Pauline
There is a marble quarry up near Walhalla Vic, that hasn't been operated for about 100 yrs. There are people trying to find where it is.

I'm glad it all means something to you because it doesn't mean anything to anyone else as far as we can determine.

Here's the July thread about this quest:click here

Then there's this:More information and walking directions

"Walkers can rediscover a small black marble quarry located near the head of a small tributary of the Thomson River. The C22 forestry track also known as Marble Quarry Track, can be followed from the Walhalla-Cowwarr Road. Take the C22-1 on the left. A
small pack-track can be located beside the C22-1 a couple of hundred metres before it ends. It is about a kilometre walk along the pack-track to the quarry."

They make it sound simple to find this quarry, but apparently it isn't so simple!?
