Was there June '12. The
general store offers basic cabin accommodation and the pub appears to offer higher standard accommodation. The pub has Wifi for a fee. It's not a pretty place but good for supplies to enable you to
camp on the Cooper. The info centre is
well worth a visit.
Road condition
signage on SA exits is good. There's a recorded phone message (via public phone only, no mobile coverage) for NSW roads but good luck getting info on Qld roads. That's shire-based. If heading to
Birdsville try the info centre there on (07) 4656 3300. For Barcoo Shire there's a sometimes updated website:
