I agree with Lane Cove National Park camp ground.

I don't know what the vacancy rates are like at this time of the year but a phone call will sort it out for you

Look Here

Cheers, Bruce.

Some options a bit out of Sydney are:

- If you're looking for a caravan park there is one in Vineyard (Commercial Rd) an hour NW of city centre. It's in a rural setting.

- If you want camping there are several camp sites in Kurrajong area - off Bells Line of Rd (and Bilpin). They are another half hour or so out from Vineyard.

There are also some nice parks along the Hawkesbury River out of Windsor.
Cheers,
Vicki

A good camp is at Richmond, just out past Windsor. Free unless you want power. Have hot showers and toilets. around 10 ~ 15 sites from memory.

Go to Richmond club and make a booking when you get there. You need to join club, but no biggy. Cost for 1 year membership was a whopping $4-00

Can stay for up to 3 nights. Is listed in "Camps Australia Wide"

We stayed there last year, and just cruised around the area for the time we were there..

Cheers

We came through today. All parks are full except the one we are at tonight so ring ahead. A fantastic spot in Vinyard we scored a brand new ensuite also. Came from a free camp south of Batemans Bay. Well it took us all day to get here. The traffic was the worst i have ever seen. Been like it for days. Feel sorry for people that live there some parts it was 10 ks bumper to bumper.
