Today we had a quieter day preparing to move on to Katherine tomorrow. We walked a couple of kilometres to Jabiru and went to the Marrawuddi Arts & Culture. The establishment welcomes over 500 local artists from Kakadu and West Arnhem Land, creating a dynamic environment where artists and visitors alike can immerse themselves in the wealth of Kakadu's Indigenous culture.

We went for a walk to Jabiru Lake Edge to have a look.

We then drove back to Cahills Crossing to see the change in tides from incoming to full tide as the story was that the crocodiles line up with their mouths open to catch the fish that are swept across the causeway in the changing tide. We did get to see a large male crocodile probably 3.5 metres in length however he was well feed and not interested in catching the fish. There was a very quick glimpse of a crocodile at the crossing lining up however he was gone again in only moments. As we were driving home we got to take a photo of the fires that burn everywhere here as it is the dry and cool season at 35 degrees. So they are doing maintenance burning there is no warnings, or people watching these cold fires as they burn slowly and cause no problem.
