A frustrating day chasing the replacement tank and trying to find a mechanic. Being Hedland, the earliest anyone could fit us in for mechanical repairs was the Tuesday of next week, 6 days away. In the end we decided to do it ourselves, I mean how hard could it be? Don’t they sound like

famous last words. I went to the Plumbing place who’s vehicle and drugged employee we had encountered out on the Wapet. As I’d suspected, the culprit was the son of the owner. I don’t think the poor bloke had any idea what I was talking about with the butane and what effect it has on those who abuse it but at least he and his wife were made a ware of son No.1’s antics. Their responsibility from here. Took a drive around Hedland to show JT the sights and then got word that the tank had arrived in the late afternoon and I went over to the transport company to collect it.

Caught up with Steve for dinner at the ESSS accomodation facility and had the three course banquet for $8.00.
