Well 3 was fully restored in 1998 and returned to excellent condition. It was fenced, signed, and given a
plaque with historical information. Restored to operational condition with windlass and metal rope, steel bucket,
well lids. Despite the restoration, the
water from this
well can be of varying quality, so travellers are advised to always treat
water collected from here.The
well is situated in a very dense, lush area with large washaways on the track around it. Track into
Well 3 is a loop road.
Camping not good on
the loop due to rough ground and risk of flooding. Plenty of
camping on outskirts of loop road in open area. A
toilet was been built here by volunteers from Track Care WA.
