The statue arrived in 23 shipping containers from China, which is part of a $15 million religious retreat by the Nan Hai Pu Tuo Temple of Australia Inc.
The statue is reported to have cost one million dollars. It forms part of a retreat on Cactus Canyon Rd. which will also include a 35m high pagoda, a temple and Chinese gardens.
