Site of Avondale
Homestead, abandoned in the 1940's. However the owner's magnificent botanical garden containing exotic trees, shrubs,
rock walls and a
water tank remains today, maintained by local volunteers.
There is a
picnic area to the north of
the gardens. No facilities other than a table.
The Koetong (Avondale) forestry
airstrip is adjacent.
