Dorrigo is located at the top of the range on the Waterfall Way between Uranga and Armidale. It is the commercial centre for the surrounding rural industries that include dairying and potato production. It was the terminus for a railway service and now boasts the largest collection of decaying railway rolling stock in Australia, if not the world.
It has a range of accommodation, pubs, motels, B&Bs,
fuel and a range of shops and rural service businesses.
