Mount Sugarloaf, also known as Great Sugar Loaf, is a mountain in the lower Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia, standing at 412m, it looks over the cities of
Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Cessnock and Maitland.There is a car
park near the antennas with a good
lookout over the
Newcastle area. There is also a short walk around the site through the bush which leads you to
the summit. There is another
lookout where you see over
Newcastle and some parts of the Lower Hunter Vally.
There is a lower
carpark with BBQs available. There are many picnic tables around the place.
Toilets are there as
well.
