Rock Landing, and in the days when
Batten Creek Cattle Station was operating, it was also known as “Croc Crossing”.
The rock bar was where they would cross the cattle over the river at low tide. The cattle are long gone, but there is still plenty of animals around (buffalo, pigs, dingoes).
