Wollomombi Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in Australia with the
water plummeting 260 metres into the
Chandler River (from a 240m single drop). Marvel as the
water plummets into a deep ravine gouged out from rock where the
Chandler and
Wollomombi rivers meet. Whilst best seen after heavy falls of summer rain, the falls are active year round and easily viewed from the Main Falls
Lookout just 200m from the
carpark. Additional lookouts are accessible from a more extensive
rim walk - recommended after rain.
