Scotts Peak dam is a bituminous concrete faced Rockfill dam.It prevents
water flowing into the Huon River and retains this
water in Lake Pedder. From here the
water can flow into Lake
Gordon and then generate 432 MW of renewable energy at the
Gordon Power station.
