Information

Henty Dunes are a series of giant dunes formed by the Roaring Forties. The dunes are around 30m high, reaching several kilometres inland and extending 15 km along the coast.

From the picnic area it’s an easy 1.5 hr return walk through the dunes to Ocean Beach.

The dunes are used by toboggan enthusiasts. Toboggans can be hired in Strahan.

The picnic area and the entrance to the dunes are 14 km north of Strahan on the road to Zeehan and south of the Henty River. There are no water or toilet facilities. The dunes are 14 km north of Strahan on the road to Zeehan.
