An isolated, informal
lookout just off Kings Tableland Road, Sunset Rock
Lookout offers sweeping
views over the Jamison Valley.Not to be confused with Sunset Rock at
Mount Victoria, Sunset Rock on Kings Tablelands is a lesser-known
vantage point, which provides a sweeping view over the Jamison Valley. The unfenced rock platform has some interesting, windswept protrusions (like mini-pagoda formations) and as the name suggests, it’s a great spot in the late afternoon.To the south are the cliffs of Kings Tablelands, and beyond that Kanangra WallsAt the start of Kings Tableland Road (4.1km from the Great Western Highway and next to the old Queen Victoria Hospital), turn right onto Kedumba Valley Road. After 550m, look for a servcie trail on the right.
Park here, and walk about 150m to the
lookout at the edge of the
cliff which is Sunset Rock
Lookout.
