Formely known as
Beverley Springs Station, this working cattle station offers
camping and accommodation for tourists along with access to tracks beyond the
homestead leading to 4WD sites of interest. Access is signposted off the
Gibb River Road then it's a 43km drive to the
homestead camping grounds via a scenic track which includes a ford and several gates. Allow an hour.A popular birdwatching area. Vehicle based
camping, suitable for caravans and camper trailers.Chalets and self contained accommodation are provided close to the station. Campgrounds have hot showers and
toilets. Dogs allowed.Travellers will be given mud maps to nearby attractions such as the walk to Paradise Pool and the short drive to Donkey Hole. Longer drives up to 65 km return will take the visitor to
Dillie Gorge, Grevillea Gorge and Lillie Pool. Fees apply if not staying as guests at the station. Further on the
ruins of
Old Beverley Springs is also worth a visit.
Part of the station is now managed as a Wildlife Sanctuary by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy, which also still runs the tourism side of the business, just as they do at Mornington Wilderness
Camp.Note that the
Walcott Inlet track is no longer accessible from Charnley River. Contact Mt Elizabeth Station.
