Eastern Trailhead > Ngumbi Base Camp (~7km, 103m elevation, allow 2-3 hours)The track to Ngumbi Base Camp is an easy, beginner-friendly walk, with minimal climbing and wide, well-defined paths. If you’re after more of a challenge, you can extend the trip with a steep return via the Mt Joyce summit.At the campsite, you’ll find good basic facilities including a rainwater tank, bench seating, and a toilet. There’s also an old schoolhouse on site, so you can skip bringing a tent if you prefer. Despite being only about a two-hour walk from the car park, it feels surprisingly remote - a quiet, peaceful escape from the pace of everyday life.
