The Mon Repos
Turtle Centre, operated by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS), is a world-class conservation and environmental education hub. Situated within the Mon Repos Conservation
Park near
Bundaberg, it supports the largest concentration of nesting marine loggerhead turtles in the South Pacific. The centre focuses strictly on research, protection, and education, meaning it does not display any captive or live turtles inside the facility.Visiting Hours & Seasonal Operations
Daytime Hours (Year-Round): Open 7 days a week from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (closed Christmas Day and ANZAC Day). General daytime admission to the main foyer, café, and gift
shop is free and does not require a booking.Nighttime Hours (November to Late March): Open from 6:00 pm until late exclusively for ticketed participants of the seasonal
turtle tours. The general public cannot access
the beach or the centre during these hours.Onsite cafe and gift
shop.Dogs prohibited in the conservation
park.
