From here the track south becomes increasingly rocky with rocky riverbed crossings that may contain
water. Proceed with caution. In the wet access may be impassable but at this
junction the track to the NE follows the river where you can
camp on this side with needing to cross
water. If you proceed straight on (south) you will know when you’ve reached the main gorge with tall walls of rock and waterpools. Free camps are in this area - unmarked.
