the gorge 2 hours prior to sunset. Ensure there is plenty of daylight left to complete the return trip. You cannot negotiate this trail in the dark.
This trail is for very experienced and
well prepared hikers only. A high level of fitness and agility is required.
The trail includes uneven steps with natural obstacles, before negotiating a set of steep metal stairs to the bottom of
the gorge.
Follow
the gorge downstream to
Kermits Pool. Wading through
water will be required and wet rocks can be slippery. Slips and falls can occur if you attempt to hike along narrow rock ledges.
Before you negotiate the first pool, change your footwear to something suitable for gripping slippery wet rocks.
The trail ends at the stop
sign, after which unauthorised access is not permitted.
