West Kunderang Recreational Retreat - NSW

West Kunderang Recreational Retreat is a private working cattle property on the banks of the Macleay River, but is completely surrounded by the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park.West Kunderang Recreational Retreat offers secluded fishing, canoeing, bushwalking, horse riding and four wheel driving within the property. Canoes can be hired, and guides will show you how to land a bass, or take you on horse rides through property using reliable stockhorses. Helicopter flights over the Oxley wilderness are also available. If you don’t have you own camping gear, dorm style cabins with gas appliances are available. These sleep up to six adults.Our accommodation facilities include ten separate campsites spread along the Macleay River, so that you can’t see one campsite from another. Privacy has been one of the most appealing aspects to our visitors.Each campsite is self-contained with its own toilet (for your use only), a picnic table, sink, and fire-pit with a swinging BBQ plate/grate/billy hook arm. Firewood is also provided.At the West Kunderang Recreational Retreat we strive to provide new facilities and improve on existing ones. In the recent past, we have managed to complete some long awaited building projects: installing new poly tanks at each campsite, providing fresh water for our visitors. We still recommend boiling all drinking water for at least 5 (preferably 10) minutes. As yet we have no fixed shower facilities for campers, and we suggest campers provide their own solar shower & surround.West Kunderang Recreational Retreat is reached from the Pacific Highway via Kempsey, Bellbrook, Georges Junction, The Big Hill and then Raspberry Rd.
