The rock is part of Karoun
Hill reserve that contains relatively untouched areas of native flora.There are campsites located next to
the rock and a
toilet is available as
well as seats and tables.The best time to visit is during early wildflower season (August-September).
Dogs are permitted on the site BUT it should be remembered that 1080 poision baiting takes place nearby so always keep your dog on a lead.This Outcrop 35km north of
Beacon provides excellent
views of both cropping and pastoral country. The northern end of the reserve backs onto the
vermin proof fence which separates Billiburning Reserve from the Karroun
Hill Nature Reserve. It has attractive flora and fauna, fantastic
views from the top, and is a pleasant place to picnic or
