Beside the Victoria Hwy 10.1 km E of
Timber Creek lies Durack monument. This is a
historic monument with good signboards detailing the pioneering Durack family. A good stop for those that don't have time (or 4WD) to head down to
Bullita Homestead museum. There are also
bins and room to turn around a large caravan etc. Across the road 100m down the Bullita Access Rd are old faded (now illegible) signs near some big boabs carved with initials of the early pastoralists and drovers.There is no
camping or
toilets in this area.
