Information

This site is now a day use area only. The site gets its name "Cable Bay" or "Cable Beach", due to the submarine cable from the OTL here being exposed where it enters the northern waters. Visitors will be able to see the junction box still remaining. This cable was Australia’s main link to the rest of the world during WW11.
