Active Track Log from EOTraveller (iOS) saved 5/10/2019 9:49:09 PM This was our trip to the National Gathering at Lake Paika Station 17kms North of Balranald. We transversed via the Western Districts to kaniva to meet up with family and see Judy.s aunt who just turned 100years of age and going strong. A great time was has at the station by all, and Judy and I also drove their internal tracks. The Homebush Hotel at Penarie 10k's north of the station on the Ivanhoe road is also worth a visit with cold beer and big meals. This trip saw us drive over to Mungo National Park to pick up a tag a long tour group to walk the Walls of China.. you must have a tour guide to be able to walk on the sand dunes, so we just rocked up and spoke to a bus tour guide and slung him a few dollars to be able to join his small tour group. We did the lake drive a few years ago, so decided to finish the full Mungoe Loop from Balranald and return. The return road uses the Prungle mail run road, all dirt and gravel, but a good road.
