All parks in exmouth are ok, all depends on where you want to be. 2 parks in town are both within walking distance to the shops and beach. Lighthouse caravan park is on the west coast near the base and adjacent to the coast and further out is the Yardie c p. If you plan on staying out at cape Range NP you may prefer the town CP, s
Just keep in mind, depending on when you are visiting, the place can be booked out so you will need to ring ahead and book

Enjoy your visit

We stayed at the first one into town on the RH side, not sure of the name, good facilities. This was about 2 years ago, short walk to shops.
Also stayed at Yardie creek on the western side of the peninsular last year. Nice park, facilities a bit older than the other park but not too bad. The power supply was limited so no air cons, micro waves, or heater elements to be used. This was not a drama for us, weather didn't need air con and did our cooking on the vans gas.
There are lots of camping spots on the west side but they seem to fill up pretty early during peak season. I think some if not all are controlled by DEC and some have camp hosts. Maybe a phone call before going.

Cheers
