Hi all
Just wondering if anyone has travelled
Walkers Crossing recently to confirm it is open. I was thinking of heading to the
Birdsville Races via Innamincka/
Walkers Crossing.
Thanks
Stef

We towed our van from
Innamincka to
Birdsville via
Walkers Crossing in late May. The Inna end was excellent, through the oil fields but the northern end was very slow. Took
all day..watch the navigation..roads everywhere & bugger all signage. cheers...oldbaz.

we drove
Walkers Crossing track about 4 weeks back and it was in excellent condition. i disagree with the staement above about bugger all signage though, yes some areas leave you a tad unsure where you are heading (like when you drive through the middle of the gas plant for example...... until you see the street sign saying
Walkers Crossing to the right that is) but there's plenty of signs along the way if you look out for them. some of the signs are only small though, so you need to keep your eyes peeled for them. i went past one sign at an intersection and noticed it said i needed to turn right as i drove past it, it was a long straight road heading off into the distance i was on at the time, so beware and look at all signs at all
crossroads and you should be ok.

Just come back from
Walkers Crossing 2 weeks ago.
The road was great, and much better than the
Cordillo Downs Rd - better scenery, better road, better everything.
As already noted, watch the signs carefully, as you can miss them, and there sometimes isn't heaps of signage, but we went through without a hitch.
