G'day fellas, it's the Old Dog here.
Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice. We (my beautiful wife and I) will be in the Alice around the end of February and want to go down to Mt Dare; but I want to tow our 15 foot Trakmaster Kimberly behind our Troopy.
I realise that we won't be able to go any further but really just want to get to Mt Dare and back to the Alice again.
Do any of my learned friends have any advice as to if this is doable or not.
Old Dog.

Old Dog,

Shouldn't be a problem, just take your time & look after your tyres.

Keep an eye on the weather as well, if there's been any rain then stay on the bitumen.

You won't get better advice than from Jeff at Mt Dare.
I can only add that a stop at Old Andado is a must

The road down to Mt Dare via Old Andado is quite ok for your type of van, even the return trip to Mac Clarke Reserve is alright.

Worth a night at the homestead with a walk through the house.

We were there in late Sept this year.
