Good review.
Re Route 66, it should be enough to enter part of a street and part of a town name. Sometimes I have used street numbers but it is not essential and I have never used postcodes. An example "Navigate" to George Street
Sydney. I just tapped GEO "Space" SYD then the "tick" and it comes up with a list of possibles. Picked the top one and it calculated route to there. Also works for "Search"
t would be better if it could hot switch between programs or. The older 4.3 inch could not do that and I had hoped the newer 5 inch could.
Likely I will be getting one soon and will explore the reverse camera display feature.

I performed a search via the "free text" option as you suggested and the program found the address I required.
Just goes to show only familiarity with any product will bring out the best solution.
