Owen and Sue have got a few of us together for a great breakfast and coffee morning in Queanbeyan at the Royal Hotel.
I see that we have 85 members in the area. I would be quite interested in running a trip down to Flea Creek for lunch and then after lunch a trip to
the summit of
Mount Coree. Should take about 3-4 hours.
This is a trip I have done about 5 times previously and it is a very interesting drive in and a Flea Creek is a great place for lunch.
Happy to do this on any day but a Sunday might suit most people.
Let me know whether any of you are interested.
Cheers

Well done Owen and Sue, and Terry, great idea re the Flea Creek trip, might even be able to entice some out of town types from (like us) Southern Highlands, that's if we are invited.
Cheers,
Simon

I am quiet familiar with the area so depending on date etc I should be a starter.

Sunday is OK for me.
How about Sunday 15 May?
My idea would be meet at Uriarra
Homestead at 10.30am. Drive to
Piccadilly Circus to air down 11.00am. Drive through to Flea Creek for lunch. If you want a BBQ you will need to bring your own wood or other means to
cook.
I could bring a portable fire and some wood but will also have a stove as back up. Will bring 10 litres of water for coffee/tea.
After lunch say about 2.30pm we could then drive back up Gentle Annie to PC and drive through to
Mount Coree for pics and then out via the boundary road - air up and
home.
But happy to consider other options.

Or from Flea Creek up the Webb Ridge Trail then across the Powerlines Trail to 2 Sticks near the western base of Mt Coree - when you say out via the Boundary Road I am not sure what you mean by this.
This route is a bit longer than what you suggest but very happy to go with the flow.
Cheers

Thought I read some where, power lines track was closed, due to people chewing it out, the, lets see how bogged we can get crew... Think we will just bring our little gas burner and a fry pan, easy to just
cook a quick few snags.. Or maybe a thermos and some ready made bread rolls.. Ah.. Decisions... Keep us posted Terry.. Cheers Odog

Powerline tracks are closed but these are all firetrails. All Ok and in fact I am taking out a mate next week to give him a bit of experience - easy stuff really.
Good idea Owen.

It is the bog holes that are closed which are under the powerlines just off Two Sticks Track but the Powerlines Track which runs from Two Sticks to Webb Trail and is not really close to the closed area is open.
The Webb Ridge Track climbing out of Flea Creek is a bit rough at the moment but is open and passable.
But as I said - happy to go with the flow.
