Just wondering if anyone knows of any 4wd tracks or scenery that can be driven too around
Carnarvon Gorge?
Thanks in advance

There are some tracks in the Mt Moffatt area of the
Carnarvon Gorge NP that require a 4wd to access, and these do offer some great scenery. Take plenty of fuel and supplies as there is nothing available from
Injune or
Mitchell, it is considered to be one of the most remote areas in Queensland.
Have fun.

x2 for Mt Moffatt. Far fewer people out that way and some interesting
places to drive and walk. Good grassy
camp ground too.

Salvatore rosa has a dirt road access and self drive through the park. Nothing challenging.

Really, there are no 4wd tracks, a good run is from
Springsure to
Tambo, either into or past Salvatore Rosa then have a look at the lantern
cave. That will tell you a story of the bullocky's. Walking
the gorge should give you enough to enjoy and ponder on.

Mount Moffatt section of the park is great Rover. The road to Top Hut is one of the 4WD tracks.
Check MyBlogs 2009. I cannot comment of Salvator Rosa or Ka Ka Mundi as we did not have time to include these in our trip.
