We are now down to approx. 6 weeks from the National Gathering kicking off.
As well as the Painted artwork inspired by the winning photo comp blog, we have another great raffle prize being donated by member John T (Tamworth)

John is also bringing his horse shoes once again and has the QLD team well trained to beat any other state team keen to have a crack.

Entry fee is $2 per person.
So this is a general reminder that you will need lots of $1 & $2 coins and very deep pockets as all money raised will be going to Drought Angels for them to distribute to drought affected families in the Kilcowera region.
Cheers Kev

Looks like that prize was inspired by MC Escher.

Afternoon Peter,

I take your comment as a compliment mate but the idea is from a German company.

Thanks

As an MC Escher fan I would be disappointed if you thought otherwise.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaate,

I have even heard that the blue ones have been magnetised to give them a chance of even coming close to beating the QLDers :)

Cheers Kev

Sweet will

The small blue and maroon horseshoes are for newer EO members so they can start the noble game of horseshoes with the small (read “light and sissy”) versions to build up some strength before graduating to the “big and heavy” shoes. Hope to see you at the gathering. Bring plenty of Gold coins.

Cheers

When we were there a couple of months ago a group of 3 or 4 camper trailers pulled in on our second night and stopped for a couple of nights. They struck up a game of horseshoes one afternoon. Wasn't some of you guys was it?
