Cuppa
A great trip up to
Garig Gunak Barlu National Park (
Cobourg Peninsula), the most northern part of the Northern Territory, more time in
Kakadu & some more technical challenges to overcome.
Special thanks to William B who recognised us & said G'day at the Mahbilil Festival in
Jabiru
Plenty to read plus lots of photos & several videos.

A great story and adventure as usual, coupled with a fridge saga showing that even the most experienced traveller can make a rookie mistake.

It is a disgusting act shooting buffalo and banteng cattle just for trophies. I spent many years up that way in the remote communities. Shooting these animals was about as dangerous as shooting a pet dog in your backyard.

Sunday morning, a new Cuppa & Mrs. Tea post. Time to sit down, with a cup of tea, naturally, and enjoy. Great read as usual, complete with wonderful images (the Rose Crowned stands out particularly) and the obligatory dramas. We love getting your
views on
places we've visited and your experiences of those we long to in the future.
Not sure if you've already been, but Newhaven Sanctuary, just west off the Tanami, north of Alice, is an excellent place to get the camera out on your journey south (we saw our first Pied Honeyeater there).
Enjoy the southern escape (and good luck with the Tassie winter!)
Cheers, Mark & Lisa

Hi Mark & Lisa,, I do enjoy hearing that folk have enjoyed reading what I write, so thank you for that.
Have just googled Newhaven, but sadly they have closed to visitors now for 2026 until next March/April
Did get a new to us bird this morning though, a
Grey-fronted Honeyeater. …. At Whistleduck
creek ( Irrmweng
waterhole), Davenport Ranges, just after we had a swim.
