Hi,
we are long time campers (tent) and have just bought a swan outback. Can anyone suggest a location for a short trip (Under 4 Hours) from
sydney. We have 2 kids 10 & 8 and are looking for a river spot for kids fishing and swiming. Any suggestions very much appreciated.
Thanks Michelle

Newcastle.
or
Yengo national park... - just north-west of Windsor

Thanks
I'll look into both sugggestions. We're heading to Tumut for a week and looking at doing a couple of short (4-5 day) trips before school goes back

If you're going to Tumut make sure you get to the
ruins at Adelong Falls. They are fascinating!

Spring,
What about
Bendethera Valley , in from
Moruya . Bit steep to get in with a camper but it's OK if it does not rain .Beautiful clean river but no fish ( I think )
What about the
Shoalhaven River up over the mountain from
Batemans Bay .
There is trout in that .
Or Eucumbeen Dam or Lake Jyndabine . Plenty of trout and swimming there .
Kangaroo Valley - there is bass in
Tallowa Dam .
Have a great time ,
Willie .
