Ya just love them till you have to work there. It is like loving chocolate and then going to work in a chocolate factory hahaha

Spent 3.5 days at the Adelaide show and I did have some fun, but i was totally buggered by the end of it. For my first time in Adelaide I had a ball, managed to find some great pubs and the Grand at Glenelg is a ripper.

It was great to catch up with the EO crowd. I did have an EO sticker there on friday till someone else liked it more, little buggers. So pictures of the jack came out and cheers to Pesty for noticing it. It was great to meet the people you spend a fair bit of the night time chatting . Thanks for taking the time, was great to meet you all.

cheers

Sorry I missed you Crazie, what stand were you working on?

Not sorry we missed joining up with the others though. They are a bunch of ratbags and some are even from the "country":-)

Funny that about camping shows - the Adelaide one is good though, went to it a couple of years ago. Lucky you catching up with those South Aussies. Miss you all. Ian's gone to the great secret fishing hole again - took him 9 hours and he got the Toyota ute bogged - it was 11;00 p.m. and the lights were hopeless and he had to unhitch the mighty camper trailer etc. - he said the dog wasn't much help, and he was a bit put out that he didn't get a very sympathetic reception when he phoned me about it around 11:50 p.m. last night.

Hello Willem - no, think the rum bottle is still here - unless there is one under the front seat (in case of snake bite you understand). He rang last night - zillions of flies (the dog can open the door to the screened area of the camper and spent the day in there) and not even one fish, oh dear! I wonder what today will bring?
Marree received 42 mm rain last night, Mungerannie (another) 17 mm, Birdsville 3.6 mm - nice day today, coolish, sunny, fine, nice breeze.
The new house is great - called 'The Summer House' - and feels different when I go home after work ( I frequently have to turn around and come back down here when I see cars coming in out of the Desert though). Great sunsets across the end of the strip (the cross strip) and over the sand dune to the cemetery and lovely sunrises over the top of town. Makes it very pleasant not to live 'on the job' all the time.
How's the new building coming along - suppose Judith's not had time to do any painting (on walls only I guess).

Bugger.. was there an EO stand?? I have just moved down to SA from QLD and this forum has pretty much been my only way of getting the "good Goss" about camping and 4WDing since I've had to leave all my shop contacts etc behind.. wish I had noticed it.. but I was too busy chatting to all and sundry about accessorising my new GU..
I'll have to keep an eye out for more south aussies on this forum.. it's flaming hard to find a decent fishing/camping spot without driving the whole coast myself.. looking forward to meeting up with some other like minds
