Curdimurka Ball

G/Day Folks. I have been searching for info on the dates for the next Curdimurka Ball. But to no avail. Is it still going or has it been cancelled ? Can anybody help me

Don't think there is one this year.

The last one was Sept 2004 and to my knowledge are held every second year.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the ball is not held any more.

Some of the constraints placed by EPA (or similar bodies) have made it an unviable event for the operator.

One could be tempetd to conclude that we are over regulated, even in these geographically remote areas. Most of us understand they are fragile environments, but this limiting factor seems over the top to many of us.................

whats the EPA got to do with it?....are they sticking their noses into every one buisness that cant afford to to take em on......

they always go for the small guys or those in trouble i.e liquidation

I think the main contributing factor was the increase of Public Liability Insurance premiums a couple years ago which is responsible for the demise of many great country shows and events.
Hope the insurance industry is proud of itself!!!

The BELTANA BALL is held every year inplace of the curdimurka ball. Beltana Ball is not as big,well thats what i've heard any way, it's held on the Anzac long weekend, cheer's GREENDOG
