Well the GREENDOG pack is back from the Flinder's,and what a great weekend had by all, great weather nice sunny days the nights were nice, not to cool. They have done up the Blinman to Parachilna rd a little where there was some rough patches which is good. The traffic heading North is unbelivable that being north towards Marree as we collected fire wood there was allways a steady stream of traffic heading up North. We had little trips through the gorge's and night's around the fire and the final night at the Parachilna Pub for the Feral Mixed Grill for tea then back to camp for a great fire on the final night, we couldn't of had a better weekend.cheer's GREENDOG

It certainly is a nice place.

We'll be back there for weekend starting Fri 11th (I think) May til Monday.

Doesn't matter where you go, or how many times you go up there, it is always different and enjoyable.

The Flinder's is truly wonderful at any time.

Don't know about the Parachilna Pub though. Is this the Prairie Hotel you are referring to?

We didn't like the "atmosphere" last time we checked it out. Too tourist oriented, with busloads of travellers arriving to have their "outback experience" then departing back to Adelaide.

Hi Greendog

I was up there over easter and it was the same as yours for weather.

Did you get some of the tracks done or was it just to relax?

Im interested in your assment of the tracks. Over easter we did three

The flys only came out on the last day the wind died down some but other wise not a bug to speak of.

Regards

Trev

Hi Trev we did'nt get any tracks done mate it was just to relax with the family,I have done the Skytrek track only and that was great did that about 2 years ago it is 50 bucks to do it now so the price has gone up since we did it,The fly's were really bad at Parachlina but back in the gorge they were'nt that bad which was good we even found a camp sight which some one had built there own toilet behond a big old tree laying down on the edge of the creek, bonus i say, cheer's GREENDOG

Greendog,
Have one of those auction jobs at Rawnsley Park for the weekend. So Plan to do a drive out of Hawker or may be it is Quorn (one of those anyway), look around there and do a bit of bike riding (push bike) & general looking around/relaxing for 4 days. (That is a weekend isnt it :):))

Planning to go back over the longweekend in October, probably around the Blinman area.

Work to live!!
