Hey all,
Looking at doing another trip from
Katherine to
Sydney. Taking 2 weeks and going through the Simpson.
Any ideas of things to see or trek to go on from
Katherine to Mt Dare?

Extfilm,
On a trip in july, to
Darwin and
Kakadu, wife and I went up the Tableland Highway(highway in name only), to
Cape Crawford, then across the Carpentaria??? h'way to
Daly Waters. Came home via the Stuart H'way.
Good scenery around
Cape Crawford to suit your skills, and we saw heaps of wild flowers, across to
Daly Waters. Even rained a little!
On return trip, called in to see Gorrie Airfield, now
well over grown. As I'm a bit of a Walter Mitty, could even hear the spitfires and kittyhawks, landing and taking off. Read later that Gorrie was about 20 mile out of range of Jap bombers.
What cameras do you use?

Thanks for the info. I would like to head up to the gulf but I have a mate who now lives in Canada wanting to see some Aussie desert. and has only 14days. I am picking him up in
Katherine. Think I might head into the eastern and western macdonald ranges for a few days before trying the WAA line.
My main cameras at the moment is a Nikon F5 and Nikon D200. Sometimes will use an F3 for emegencies. For my 360 stuff I use a Nikon 995 and underwater a Nikonos V. Have a few more in the quiver but they rarely get used. Am looking at getting a Linhof 17x6 soon...... Can't wait
