A"credit-where-credit's due" report.........I picked up some preloved Polyairs for the Paj and was going to fit them myself over the weekend but just before dragging the jack, stands etc out rang the local Opposite Lock store in Brooklyn (Vic) to convince myself that spending a few hours was well worth it. Well, they quoted $125 and could do it on the Monday morning. No problem that the bags were secondhand, any missing bits could be found and a couple of hours was enough. I dropped it in, they ran me home (about 15 minutes away) then (the biggest surprise) rang a couple of hours later to say they were finished and WOULD I LIKE TO BE PICKED UP!! They explained (from experience) how to use the bags on the trip back and had the paperwork ready when we arrived. Compared with some of the experiences I've had with dealers, this one was worth posting. Just shows that it's still possible to run a business AND provide service. Usual disclaimer applies - no connection with OL etc.

Hi Adrian,
when I lived on that side of town a few years ago, I had several dealings with OL Brooklyn... It would appear nothing has changed there and nor should it have. The guys there were very professional, friendly and genuinely happy to help.

Maybe someone from ARB needs to be pointed toward this thread.

I think the ARB outlet in Tamworth does read these as they are the most co operative ARB outlet that I have come across. So much so that if I need to purchase any ARB gear I drive from Sydney to Tamworth just for the excellent service that they provide.
No affilation just very happy with the service.
BTW they compete in most outback challenges and the like in their spare time.

Cheers Kev

how about 5. I had some work done at my local opposite lock store in the pilbara and there service was excellent. After fitting my new 190L fuel tank i had some concerns and teething problems which they were only to happy to sort out. They knew i was going on a long desert trip so they spent hours going over the system and transfering fuel back and forth to be 100% sure everything was fine. Some of the issues they had may have been cause by existing parts on the vehicle but they fixed it to my satisfaction (which isn't easy) and only charged the standard fitting fee. What more can you ask for.

and yes..... i have been back and bought more bits from them since returning from our CRS trip.
