Doug, it's no good posting about fuel prices here mate.
We all work in the industry or have retired from it and have shares in the oil companies.
Anyway, higher prices just mean you won't emit so much of that global warming yuk cause you wont be able to drive as far.

PS Mate, kan yer stop posting about all those exotic tracks ? I spent hours on OziExplorer trying to find out where ya wheelybeen. :))))))))))

Doug, I'm not grumpy. I finally found where ya been. The amazing thing is that there are so many tracks in that area that aren't really well known in the east. Maybe I just have the wrong maps. One thing I do know for sure, if you don't have very recent maps of WA you can get well and truly bushed...and then ya get grumpy.

Hi Ya Footsie
Grumpy....nah just being silly as usual , just that I had to call you a needle, can't call a mate a prick.
Now about the tracks, yeh out there in the wheat belt it's like a maze and you know 99.5% are on the Garmin GPS so when I seen the GPS wanted to guide me down a Rabbit Proof fence road straight away I remembered the dog fence from Cameron Corner and said to myself.......well ok I said it to Dusty....Ah Ha no way, get caught on a locked gate or dead end so I asked at BP Wubin and they said yeh it's good road so away we went, I was going to check it out on Google now that I'm home but the photo's are the old ones and don't focus. There was only 1 turn it wanted and it was no longer there so just re-routed another 4 Ks down the track to the next one.So there you have it...

If you think fuel prices are bad, remember the oil shocks of the 70's ?

I do.

Suddenly there was no fuel being sold. "Regular customers only" signs at garages if you were lucky.

I remember buying 1 litre at around 25c to get home. Vewwwy slowly.

In 1973 I was a new graduate and had to start a job in Sydney, 100km away on the Monday. I didn't have enough fuel, but I heard that one petrol station 40k away
was going to open and you could buy enough to fill your tank on the Saturday.

I was about number 5 sleeping overnight in the car parked on the pump on Friday.

So if you think it's bad...it could be much worse.

aahh we are forced to remember the golden rule
he whom has the gold ..makes the rules....in our case
those(bp) whom have the fuel...make the rules...
the rich get richer ..at our hard ship....nothing new there

it is the usual cycle here in Perth, always goes up then declines over 2 weeks, followed by a sharp increase on a monday...nothing out of the ordinary IMO
