Hi all

On my way to work this morning I had to stop in at local Toyota dealer. I spied 2 new 70 series out the back. One was troopy (not 4 door) but with GXL badges and the other was a ute. Both sporting 4.5 litre D4D V8 stickers on the side. The wait is over.....finally. It didn't seem prudent to sticky beak as the dealer principle was checking them out himself. I'll try to get a better look this arvo.

Yeah your right
The local dealer said that it will be about 1 - 2 months before they have any in stock. Let alone any info on them. They had one sales rep at the dealer training on the weekend and he could not tell me what the expected retail price will be. So I take it that they don't tell them much in their training on the new models.

May have to go back to God's country (QLD) to get some info. LOL

There's one of the new 'four foor wagons' at Nunawading Toyota in Melbourne. It was parked on their forecourt today; still with factory markings, stickers etc. Badged V8 4500 D4 - and complete with leaf springs at the back, factory snorkel, fat tyres. Very 'purposeful' looking rig, but very, very spartan inside.

I thought it was absolute crap, when i saw it at the Brisbane Motorshow, and the power outputs very lame like most people on here agree.... But now that it has "V8 4500 D4" stickers on it - that sounds AWESOOOOMMMMEEE!!!! I so want one now!!!

I saw a flatbed today going opposite direction to me over the Westgate Bridge with a Troopy (78 Series) and a Tray (79 Series) back on the back.
So they are being delivered to various Melb dealers I guess.

Saw 3 troopys yesterday on the Monash Freeway on a transporter and looked over one at the dealers on the weekend in Glen Waverley...a 4 door with the lot (GXL). They are all over the joint!! I think I will stay with what I've got ...not sure I'm ready for a 60 series yet...LOL.
