OK, so I weakened:-))
I decided last week to buy a Coleman Catalytic Heater for heating up the inside of the camper because we are getting old and soft.
Now the basic Coleman “Black Cat Heater” is a no frills device with a simple chromed steel frame stand which also requires the use of the small Coleman Propane fuel cartridge to support it.
I have previously stated in this
forum that rather than use the “disposable” cartridge, I would run whatever device I needed to off the larger LPG bottle via an adapter hose.
Now, even though I may yet make up some sort of alternative supporting stand so that I can do this, I also decided to “
fork out” for a MacCoupler EZ fill Propane Coupler.
So last week I ordered the MacCoupler over the Internet through Mrs. Mik’s RVing Outpost (www.rvingoutpost.com). I must say it is a “feel good” exercise when one can order a simple, low cost product (US$19.99 + US$11.00 postage) and receive it 4-5 days later. (I have ordered articles within Australia that take longer to deliver)
Having lashed out a total of US$30.99, Mrs. Mik then THANKED ME for the Order.
No, thank you Mrs. Mik. What an excellent family business to deal with.
MacCoupler
But wait.....it gets better!!!
So, knowing that the MacCoupler was on its way, I “procrastinated” over the purchase of a Coleman Black Cat Catalytic Heater just long enough to find that this week Ray’s Outdoors have them on special for $64.00 including a free Propane Fuel Cartridge, during their current sale. And I received a further discount with my Privilege Member Card.
So now I have a big grin from ear to ear and only wish I was going to Warraweena this weekend to show off the latest purchases to all and sundry.
Oh
well!

I'm a little peeved because "everyone else" appears to be going.
You may like to compare your heater to Brew's. His Coleman Heater outputs the same BTU's (3000) but includes a fan.
I decided against the fan model as they are bigger and for the camper, I reckoned that as heat naturally rises, I didn't need the fan to move heat around the tent area. It would spread by convection. (That's the theory anyway)
You guys have a great time this weekend and I'll catch you up sometime later.

Yes I will compare to Brew's, and I also have the fan model as it pushes the heat around better

Well Pesty,
On that very same trip you mention, Mr Lexic comes to the
camp fire after setting up his Penthouse Suite and boldly offers everyone a nice port, which is gleefully accepted by all. He then goes and fossicks through the Yota making grumblings and remarks to POOR Elaine taking his time I believe until one of us said don't worry Des we have some, he then joyfully comes back over with his glass his hand.....
Sounded like a very elaborate act to us.....

Spot on Noldi,
That's exactly what I am referring to.
Actually, I should refine my criticism a little more.
When I have ordered stuff over the Internet from Western Australian distributors, including ExplorOz and its suppliers and
places like Prestige Communications, the response is very very good.
But the Eastern seaboard seems inefficient by comparison. Even the time difference should only add one day at the most.
