Hi All
I'm heading up to Mt Augustus and then onto the Kennedy Ranges in a little over a week and am interested to know what the best route is to see the Kennedy Ranges when coming in from the north.
I had thought about coming down the eastern side of the ranges and then onto
Gascoyne Junction but this would miss out the western side.
Does anybody know what's on the west side of the
Kennedy Range and what roads/tracks to use to see them. I had planned to spend about a day and a half there.
Cheers, Will.

it was a few years ago but from memory the west side is only accessable from the south.
the tracks were ok and we went to the abandoned
homestead binthalya. couple of wells and one area against the ranges where they used to corral the stock. (yabba or pharoh
well).
north of here the track got very rough, no one had been there for years.
there is a track across the ranges we were heading for but we ran out of time and tyre plugs.

Hi Will.......yes we did the west side a couple of years ago coming in from Binthalya then heading north and crossing the range then travelled south along the
gas pipeline track to look at the eastern side. Track across from the west was o.k. (I had a Navara DC no probs at all) and we thougt more interesting than the
easter side. See no reason why tyou couldn't do the reverse
Regards
Richard
