Has anybody bought any Kits/parts for the Ram Mount system from the USA. If so, who was the dealer and how was the service. I know the bits are available here but at just under twice the price from the USA (plus postage.)
Thanks

Not sure about your pricing but I have bought Ram Mount stuff from a
well know GPS retailer in Mona Vale NSW and found their prices pretty good plus excellent service.

I looked at Ram mount components for my Ipaq in the car but in the end purchased some powder coated phone holders from Wes Components in Ashfield,
Sydney.

A terrific product with great suction cups to hold to glass. Like others bought from GPS dealer (in
St Kilda..Johnny Appleseed) I suggest you would be better seeing what you are going to buy and perhaps try it before handing over $$ as there are many combinations available. They have good packages available at competitive $$. Cheers

Yep - I have a mount for a laptop and a few bits to connect it to the windscreen suction mount. I found the RAM suction cup thingy pretty weak actually - I hoe they have improved it. The rest of the gear is very good.
I bought
mine through the local distributor - go to
Ram Aust Web Site
I don't need my gear any more so if you depending on what you want I might be able to help you. - send me an email on garyw_at_phg_dot_com_dot_au

Have a look at the GPSOZ website and if you cannot find what you want there, search the Ram Mount website.
GPSOZ will then give you a quote, via a web query, or phone, on any Ram Mount product whether they have it in stock, or need to source it from the US, at a competitive price.
I have no ties with GPSOZ, just a satisfied customer for a few items I have purchased from them.

It was GPS OZ for me - bought about $150 worth of RAM bits to date - fast, reliable, and free postage. For the prices they list, it did not occur to me to chase it overseas - I have for more expensive items but.

Yeah; I bought a laptop, gps and phone mount from Expressmounts in Las Vegas recently. Darn quick to ship, and no problems what so ever.
http://www.expressmounts.com/ .. only just installed the laptop mount, so not tested it out in real life yet, but it looks good.

Thanks mate,
That is exactly what I was looking for. Even with postage the cost is just under twice the cost here and delivery times about the same.

Np. Just mounted
mine, and so far so good. Wife rolled her eyes a few times asking "why?", but she'll come around. ;-) I chose the Tripo III (or something) mount, and with the 'dual arm' I can even svivel it backwards so the kids kan watch dvd's on the laptop ... though I already have one mounted in the roof ... ;-) /Jorgen
